India Physical Activity Report Card

Led by Active Healthy Kids India, the India Report Card for Physical Activity on Children and Youth is the only comprehensive assessment of active living across the country.

As part of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance, report cards are released bi-annually assessing 10 indicators of active living among children and youth: overall physical activity, sedentary behaviour, active play, organized sports participation, physical fitness, school policies and programs, government investment and strategies, active transportation family and peer support, and community and built environment. In 2018, the India Report Card team added an 11th indicator for yoga given its cultural significance.

As part of the Report Card intiative, CHANGE Research Lab (Report Card Leader and Co-Founder, Dr. Bhawra) are partnering with researchers and other agencies for primary data collection on the 11 indicators across India.
