Jessica Rogers
Jessica holds a B.A (Hons.) in Forensic Psychology, a diploma in Addiction and Mental Health Counselling, and is currently enrolled in the MSc in Occupational and Public Health at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She is pursuing her thesis under the supervision of Dr. Bhawra, and is additionally involved in the non-profit, social service sector working in research, evaluative, and consulting capacities. She specializes in at-risk youth, mental health, and gender-based violence.

Harsimran Dogra
Harsimran holds a BSc. (Hons.) in Psychology from York University and is currently pursuing her MSc in Occupational and Public Health at TMU. Along with her graduate studies, she is also a teaching assistant contributing to student learning while advancing her research interests under the supervision of Dr. Bhawra. She is deeply passionate about mental health, health equity, and health promotion, with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable populations through research, education, and advocacy. She has experience in community-engaged research, recruitment, working with vulnerable populations, and the application of experimental tools. One of her goals is to expand mental health access for underserved communities.

Anojini Ravichandran
Anojini holds a MSc in Occupational and Public Health from TMU and a BSc in Neuroscience and Human Biology from the University of Toronto. She has worked extensively in applied public and occupational health research, including graduate research on sun-safety interventions and environmental determinants of health. She has experience in community-engaged research, data analysis, disease prevention, and translating evidence into practical public health action. She is passionate about epidemiology and mental health, with a strong interest in understanding how social, environmental, and occupational factors shape mental health outcomes. Katarina Bursac
Katarina is a MSc student in the Occupational and Public Health program. She is an aspiring mixed methods public health researcher with experiences in community outreach and conducting qualitative research with vulnerable populations to improve health outcomes. She is also passionate about sustainability, health promotion, and social determinants of health in urban environments. Katarina's work as a Research Assistant with the CHANGE lab involves exploring climate change-induced negative health effects in Toronto and collaborating with the team to develop a citizen science framework that tackles this issue.

Caitlin Hung
Caitlin Hung is a fourth-year Honours Specialization Health Sciences student at Western University and a research assistant in the CHANGE Lab. She is contributing to the 2026 India Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth, supporting evidence synthesis and indicator grading to strengthen population-level monitoring of child and youth physical activity in India. Caitlin’s research interests centre on perinatal health and early childhood development, with a particular focus on how early-life environments shape child health trajectories. She is currently working on the YUVAAN multigenerational cohort study in rural Maharashtra, examining intergenerational influences on child growth and non-communicable disease risk. She is motivated by the potential for rigorous, context-sensitive research to inform policies and interventions that support maternal and child health.

Heya Desai
Heya is a BMSc student in the Medical Sciences program at Western University, pursuing an Honours Specialization in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Alongside her studies, she is contributing to the 2026 India Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Adolescents under Dr. Bhawra’s supervision. Her research work and career interests are driven by a commitment to advancing precision-prevention and proactive healthcare solutions that address the unique health challenges faced by marginalized communities. She is deeply passionate about lifestyle medicine, endocrinology, and global health, viewing active and healthy living as a pathway to optimizing human potential, shaped by her lived experience managing Type 1 diabetes. Currently, she is also conducting a systematic review of AI-enabled diabetes interventions in lower-middle-income countries.

Rubina Mandlik
Dr. Rubina Mandlik is a Project Manager at the Hirabai Cowasji Jehangir Medical Research Institute in Pune, India. She is a nutritionist and researcher with over 15 years of experience in nutrition and education. She is a Lila Fellow and has been a recipient of the University Grants Commission Jr. Research Fellowship. Her research interests span maternal, infant, and young child nutrition, knowledge translation, and behaviour change communication. Rubina works with Dr. Bhawra on a range of projects focused on infant and young child feeding practices, as well as climate change impacts on non-communicable disease risk in India. dr.rubina.mandlik@hcjmri.org.in
